The Yin’erlike Desert

The desert is 22 kilometers northwest of Hotan City and located on the southernmost fringe of the Taklamakan Desert.

  Taklamakan Desert is the second largest desert in the world,and the largest desert in China,known to the world as “the Death of the Sea”,and famous for “the shifting ”sand dunes.It covers an area of 3.376 millions square kilometer sand occupies 47% of the whole desert area of China.It undulates its magnificent sand hills like a boundless vast expanse of ocean.

   It ‘s a good place to view the sun rising and setting from the desert.And it’s also an ideal place to try the experience of camel riding or the trekking in the desert.
