All Xinjiang Ethnic groups have their own wedding customs.Uyghur people have very big and humorous wedding ceremony.One dau before the wedding,the bride and bridegroom will separately celebrate at their own house.On this day,the bridegroom will send dowries to the brides house.Generally,it is a live heep,cooking oil,rice ,tea,candyand etc.On the wedding day,the bridegroom will dress in his best,accompanied by his friends and relatives,go to the bride‘s house.On the way ,bridegroom‘s companions will play Suona,drumms. After enter the house of the bride,they will have special ceremony.generally,the master of the ceremony will be a reputable Imam or senior citizen.People will stand aside,the bride and bridegroom will be in the middle,the MC will ask them whether they are willing to marry each other,when positive answer is made,the MC will dip a piece of nang (flat bread)into salt water and offer it to the new couple,who shall eat it in front of the relatives.Then ,some relatives from the brides family will start to sing songs to the bride ,showing that she is not willing to leave home and her parents,and also sing a song to the new husband,hope that he can be a good husband.After the bride bid farewell to her parents,she will cover her face with veils.Escorted by her relative ,they will come to the bridegroom‘s family .After get to the bridegroom‘s family will have the ceremony of unveIling.Relative will circle arround the bride,singing the joyful songs.The bride and bridegroom will unveil the bride .Then all guests are to applaud for the beauty of the bride.After this ,the host will serve a large banquet ,and people will dance and sing songs .
